The College Seen photo contest showcases photos that tell the story of the California Community Colleges from a student perspective. sponsored by the Foundation for California Community Colleges and the CollegeBuys purchasing program, with software prizes courtesy of Adobe®.
Contestants had the opportunity to win:
- A $500 cash award
- Adobe® Creative Suite® 4 Design Premium—InDesign®, Photoshop®, Illustrator®, Dreamweaver®, Flash®, and more, courtesy of Adobe®
- A feature story in Affinity, the magazine for California Community College alumni
Students submitted photos in six categories:
- Sustainability
- Technology and Learning
- Career Preparation/Work Experience
- Campus Elements
- Campus Life
- Conceptual
A judging panel evaluated submissions on visual impact, technical execution, style, and relevancy to the category. Many excellent entries were received, and out of the over 240 photos submitted, only six winners were chosen. The submission deadline was June 30, 2009.The contest is open to California Community College students age 18 and older.
